As a Holy Paladin, it is important to obtain the Haste Rating soft cap(of 25.03%). However, given a reasonable gear level, this cap is attainablewithout the need to gem for it (simply through innate stats andreforging), so we do not mention these gems in the table below.

3. Consumables↑top

3.1. Food

If you are comfortable with your mana regeneration, you should eatfood that gives you Intellect. You will be granted:

• 300 Intellect by Mogu Fish Stew, Spiced Blossom Soup, or Pandaren Treasure Noodle Soup;
• 275 Intellect by Braised Turtle, Deluxe Noodle Soup, Banquet of the Pot, or Great Banquet of the Pot;
• 250 Intellect by Swirling Mist Soup, Noodle Soup, or any of other banquets.

If you are not comfortable with your mana regeneration, you should eatfood that gives you Spirit. You will be granted:

• 300 Spirit by Steamed Crab Surprise, Farmer's Delight, or Pandaren Treasure Noodle Soup;
• 275 Spirit by Fire Spirit Salmon, Deluxe Noodle Soup, Banquet of the Steamer, or Great Banquet of the Steamer;
• 250 Spirit by Shrimp Dumplings, Noodle Soup, or any of other banquets.

3.2. Flask

If you are comfortable with your mana regeneration,your flask should be a Flask of the Warm Sun.

If you are not comfortable with your mana regeneration,your flask should be a Flask of Falling Leaves.

3.3. Potion

During the encounter, your best choice for a potion will be Master Mana Potion, which instant grants you 30,000 mana, or Potion of Focus, which grants you 45,000 mana over 10 seconds(provided you do not need to perform any action during this time).

4. Summing-up Profession Perks↑top

Choosing a profession for your Holy Paladin can impact your raidperformance. As a rule, you should shy away from gathering professions (withthe exception of Herbalism), which leaves the following viable professions forraiding:

Tailoring	Provides a gain of approximately 320 Intellect through Lightweave Embroidery or a gain of approximately 750 Spirit through Darkglow Embroidery, instead of +180 Intellect from Enchant Cloak - Superior Intellect. It also provides Sanctified Spellthread, a much cheaper equivalent of Greater Pearlescent Spellthread, the usual leg enchant.
Blacksmithing	Provides a 320 Intellect gain through two extra sockets, Socket Bracer and Socket Gloves, in which you can fit 2 Brilliant Primordial Ruby.
Jewelcrafting	Provides a 320 Intellect gain through the ability of using 2 Brilliant Serpent's Eye.
Alchemy	Provides an 320 Intellect gain to your flask through Mixology.
Enchanting	Provides a 320 Intellect gain through Enchant Ring - Greater Intellect.
Engineering	Provides +1,920 Intellect for 10 seconds every minute through Synapse Springs (the overall gain is +320 Intellect).
Inscription	Provides a 320 Intellect gain through Secret Crane Wing Inscription.
Leatherworking	Provides a 320 Intellect gain through Fur Lining - Intellect.
Herbalism	Provides a 480 Haste Rating gain in average through Lifeblood.

Blacksmithing is the best profession for Holy Paladins, since itprovides a higher secondary stat increase than any other profession.
